Digging through Kohler’s collection of vintage ads, I frequently come across style and fashion that I still see today. I’m always intrigued by which styles make it and which don’t. In the 1950s, it was vibrant pastels, horn-rimmed glasses, beehive hair, and space-age modernism. So maybe the beehives didn’t quite last, but a lot of the other stuff did.

Check out some of my favorite ads from the days when “retro” was actually real. What do you think about the style of the 50s? Is it hopelessly kitschy or does it conjure fond memories? Let us know!
